Quantifying Marketability Discounts by Z. Christopher Mercer
This book, Quantifying Marketability Discounts, presents the Quantitative Marketability Discount Model as a tool to assist business appraisers in developing, quantifying and defending marketability discounts used in valuation reports based upon the specific facts and circumstances of each case. The book is also useful for attorneys, accountants and other professionals whose clients have valuation needs. If you are actively engaged in the valuation of businesses or rely on those services, this book should be in your library because the chances are great that it will be a resource for your competitors. Editorial Reviews Review I found your work to be a new and unique methodology for developing marketability discounts. You have taken a scholarly approach to the subject, yet you made this volume a complete discussion of the historical perspective of the marketability discount. In my opinion, this is a volume that belongs on every business valuator's bookshelf, whether a beginner or an old hand at valuation theory. -- Robert E.
